We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead and inspire both a solo and a 2-bed children’s residential home supporting young people aged 8–17 with complex emotional, behavioural and learning needs. This is an exceptional opportunity for a confident, resilient leader ready to excel as a Dual Registered Manager and shape outstanding care environments.

The ideal Registered Manager will be a proactive, child-centred professional with the ability to drive high-quality practice, develop strong staff teams, and achieve exceptional outcomes for young people. As the Ofsted Registered Manager for both settings, you will champion trauma-informed approaches and maintain full compliance across all regulatory areas.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations across both homes as the Registered Manager
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and development for staff teams
  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted expectations, and safeguarding frameworks
  • Promote a trauma-informed, child-centred approach throughout the homes
  • Oversee budgets, staffing rotas, and service development
  • Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager for both sites

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
  • At least 1 year in a managerial or deputy managerial role (ideally as a Registered Manager or aspiring Registered Manager)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Children Act 1989, and safeguarding
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs and crisis intervention
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
  • Full UK driving licence

Additional Information

  • Six-month probation period
  • Full Ofsted registration required — full support provided to become a successful Registered Manager
