Job Description
Net Temps Limited are currently recruiting for an Assistant QS to join their team, our client is a well-known precast manufacturer based in Tuxford.
- Location: Tuxford
- Shifts: 8am – 5pm – Monday to Friday
- Position: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Support the measurement and valuation of works.
- Help prepare applications for payment and final accounts.
- Assist in managing subcontractor procurement and payments.
- Monitor project costs and report on financial performance.
- Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation.
- Attend site visits and project meetings as required.
- Support senior commercial staff with day-to-day quantity surveying duties.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements.
- Assist with early warning notices.
- Assist with compensation events.
- Assist with CVR allocations and investigation works.
- Presenting weekly budgets and cost value reconciliations.
- Updating, monitoring, and delivering action trackers.
- Daily business reconciliations.
Requirements
- Degree or HNC/HND desirable in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or working towards one).
- Some industry experience through employment or a placement year is desirable.
- Good numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Good presentation skills in delivering confidently.
- Good time keeping and time management essential.
- NEC3/4 general/basic understanding.
- Experience of Sage accounts desirable.
- Experience of CEMAR but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
