Overview

Children’s Residential Senior Support Worker – Nottingham

Location: Nottingham (exact location TBC). Job type: Full-time, Permanent. Salary: Competitive + benefits. The role is with a small, family-owned residential care provider in Nottinghamshire, operating nine small children’s homes. The service is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and provides a nurturing, therapeutic environment for children aged 5–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic care for children aged 5–17
  • Promote emotional well-being, positive relationships, and personal development
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and aspirational team
  • Act as a therapeutic parent and a key link between the support team and management
  • Care for up to 3 children in the home

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in residential childcare in a leadership role
  • Level 3 QCF in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
  • Understanding of EBD, trauma-informed approaches (PACE/DDP desirable)
  • Strong communication and literacy skills
  • Applicants must be 21+ and pass enhanced DBS checks

Training & Development

  • Full training provided, including QCF Level 4 & 5
  • Career progression to Deputy Manager/Manager roles
  • 1:1 supervision and group sessions with the home’s therapist
