Due to an internal promotion and ambitious growth plans, they are looking to add a Principal Consultant to join their Microsoft Data Security team. This can be a home-based role anywhere in the UK. This will require someone who knows Microsoft Data Security and how it is implemented while being capable of recommending solutions to a varied client base.
The Principal Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality professional services engagements across both the Cyber and Information Security realms. They are also here to coach junior consultants within engagements, to help refine consultancy offerings and to offer current and prospective customers a professional touch point.
Deliver data security and regulatory compliance driven customer engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with proposed work.
To achieve this, you will:
- Leading end-to-end client projects, including POCs, requirements gathering, design, implementation planning and guidance, environment optimisation, and operationalising Purview Security & Compliance capabilities.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions, architectures and roadmaps.
- Excel in coaching junior consultants throughout engagements.
- Uphold and enforce high delivery standards for yourself and your team.
- Assist or lead, as needed, internal stakeholders like the Sales team or Service Delivery in crafting client proposals that are clear, minimizing jargon and addressing core problems to articulate risk reduction outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor across various cyber security domains, supporting clients in their maturity journey.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, comprehending their current posture, and persuasively present your vision for enhancing their security maturity to both technical and management stakeholders.
- Apply best practices where necessary, relying on evidence and threat-led approaches elsewhere.
- Stay current with technical knowledge to align with business offerings and client requirements.
- Foster collaboration, inspire others, and share knowledge to break down silos.
- Assist the Function Lead in advancing services and capabilities.
Skills/ Experience Required;
- Ability to explain modern ideas of information classification, data leakage, and risk management in relation to Microsoft Security and Compliance products.
- Proven experience constructing technical and architectural documentation such as Designs, Operating Models and Solution Specifications.
- Expert-level knowledge across the Microsoft Purview suite of services; Information Classification, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, Data Lifecycle Management and Records Management.
- Working knowledge of the extended Microsoft Purview suite of services; Data Catalog, Data Mapping, Syntex, eDiscovery, Information Barriers.
- Proven practical experience deploying Microsoft Purview solutions and associated services in production environments across a variety of enterprise-level organisations.
- Comprehensive understanding of the wider Microsoft 365 productivity ecosystem (i.e., Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams), including logical operations and standard deployment scenarios.
- Driven and client focused with a passion for solving problems.
- Comfortable leading projects, tasks and deliverables in an agile and dynamic environment.
