With over 10,000 employees, multi-billion pound turnover and strong digital presence, they are looking to solidify their security operations by adding a Security Operations Manager to their expert team of professionals based in Glasgow.
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to lead major security initiatives.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure all project activities meet our security standards and policies. You will oversee substantial security projects and develop strategies to enhance our security defences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale security projects.
- Perform thorough security assessments across systems, networks, and applications.
- Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential threats in security frameworks.
- Develop and execute strategies to mitigate risks and reinforce security defences.
- Offer guidance and recommendations on best practices for securing systems and data.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging cyber threats, trends, and technologies.
- Communicate technical information and recommendations effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to address findings from penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
- Assist the GRC team in drafting and updating policies and standards.
Skills Required:
- Background of working across Cyber Security, GRC functions.
- Demonstrated experience implementing solutions aligned with the likes of ISO27001, NIST, CIS, or Cyber Essentials
- Capability to work under the guidance of the Security Manager
- Skill in building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
