About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of HR to lead and oversee the Human Resources function, bridging the gap between operational and strategic HR .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the HR function, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality services to meet the Companies objectives
  • Act as the key interface between strategic and operational HR, advising on and influencing decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for the HR team.
  • Oversee the implementation of key strategic initiatives, including:
  • Restructuring, pay grading and embedding a Trade Union recognition.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven HR leadership experience, ideally within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to implement and manage significant organizational changes.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and working with Trade Unions.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to influence at all levels.

Operational Oversight

•Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, ensuring their development, engagement, and performance.

•Oversee the effective and efficient delivery of operational of HR services, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.

•Ensure adherence to legal and policy frameworks, and the maintaining of HR systems and data integrity.

Essential

•Significant experience in a senior HR leadership role.

•Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best HR practices.

•CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent).

•Proven ability to manage, develop, and lead teams effectively.

•Proven track record in strategic HR planning and operational delivery.

•Previous involvement in trade union consultation and negotiation.

•Significant experience of restructuring.

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
