Join Our IT Team – Support 800+ Users in a Fast-Paced Environment
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, providing high-quality desktop support to over 800 users.
This is an office-based role, ideal for someone with a solid support background who thrives in a hands-on environment.
You’ll play a key role in resolving support tickets, ensuring seamless user experiences, and helping maintain the overall health of our systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve 2nd line technical support tickets (desktop and Microsoft 365)
- Provide day-to-day desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and software installations
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 applications and user access for a large user base
- Support WiFi troubleshooting and connectivity issues
- Perform daily checks on backup systems and escalate anomalies as required
- Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure smooth resolution of complex issues
- Maintain documentation and adhere to internal processes and SLAs
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a 2nd line support or desktop support role
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Confident troubleshooting desktop, printer, network, and hardware issues
- Experience supporting a high user-volume environment (800+ users)
- Familiarity with WiFi troubleshooting and common networking issues
- Advantageous: experience with backup monitoring and checks (e.g., Veeam, Datto, etc.)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A team player who’s confident working in a busy, office-based environment
