Job Title: Junior Cloud Operations Engineer Location: Glasgow, Hybrid Package: Excellent package on offer About Us An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cloud Operations Team of a leading content analytics group. We are seeking a Junior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, helping to deploy, maintain, and support our software solutions on both our own and our customers’ AWS infrastructure . Key Responsibilities Software Deployment: Set up and deploy our software in AWS cloud environments using Terraform and Ansible . Incident Management: Triage, review, and escalate customer alerts, incidents, and service requests to ensure timely resolution. Service Level Management: Ensure all alerts, incidents, and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs . Knowledge Base Development: Create and maintain troubleshooting articles for alerts, incidents, and service requests. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless support for our products and services. Continuous Learning: Develop your skills in our product software, AWS technologies, Terraform, and Ansible. Progress through an approved learning pathway to achieve AWS Foundation and Associate-level certifications . Essential Skills and Experience Technical Support Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in frontline technical support or an equivalent role. Operational Support: Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call support rota . Linux Proficiency: Familiarity with Linux command-line utilities such as grep , sed , awk , and top . Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive, can-do mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow within the team. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
