The successful candidate will become part of a highly experienced engineering team, providing technical expertise across planned maintenance, reactive service work and commissioning activities while building lasting relationships with customers throughout the region. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of HVAC and climate control equipment across customer sites Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently, ensuring equipment is returned to full operational performance Attending customer breakdowns, warranty visits, commissioning projects and equipment hire installations as required Building and maintaining strong customer relationships by providing a professional, knowledgeable and customer-focused service Working closely with service desk, operations and sales teams to ensure excellent communication and a seamless customer experience Utilising diagnostic software, engineering drawings and technical documentation to identify faults and carry out repairs Completing service reports, maintenance records and work order documentation accurately and within agreed timescales Communicating effectively with supervisors, service managers and fellow engineers to provide updates and support continuous improvement initiatives Participating in a planned standby and call-out rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working as a Service Technician, Field Service Engineer or within a similar customer-facing engineering position, ideally supporting HVAC, refrigeration or climate control equipment. Applicants should possess strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across both mechanical and electrical systems, alongside the ability to work independently and manage their own workload effectively while delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates should hold the appropriate industry qualifications, including a valid F-Gas certification, and demonstrate confidence using diagnostic software, engineering schematics and a range of hand and power tools. Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial or commercial environments would be advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers while collaborating effectively with colleagues across service, sales and operations functions. The successful individual will be proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer experiences. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to participate in a planned standby and call-out rota.
