Your Company: A growing environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join its team in Swindon. Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading ecological surveys, site assessments, and monitoring programmes across a variety of development and environmental projects
  • Managing project delivery from initial scoping through to reporting, implementation, and post-development monitoring
  • Acting as client-facing lead on projects, maintaining strong professional relationships and providing trusted ecological advice
  • Delivering and supporting Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and integrating outcomes into development design and planning strategies
  • Contributing to and reviewing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRAs), habitat management plans, and ecological reports
  • Working under, or alongside, Natural England protected species licences, applying best practice in fieldwork and mitigation delivery
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and financial performance to ensure efficient and profitable delivery
