Your Company: NET Recruit are partnering with a fantastic successful manufacturing and engineering business to assist them on their search for a Projects Engineer to work in Southampton. This role will hold an important position within the client facing team, providing detailed quotes to clients that not only meet their requirements but will work to ensure the business remains profitable. As a result of the hard work conducted by the team, the business can continue their growth and continuously improve on the quality of the service they are delivering, showing that this role will have a direct positive impact on the business and its future.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Creating installation quotations for sales engineers that meet project requirements and include all pertinent information
- Ensuring that each project is priced so that profit is taken into consideration
- Providing details of components needed to complete projects, breaking down the costs, including profit margins and delivering this to the sales engineers
- Producing schematic diagrams on CAD or something similar on occasion to support quotations
- Raising purchase orders
- Attending site meetings with clients and engineers
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and contracts for projects
- Ensuring that records are kept for all work relating projects and update this with progress as it occurs
- Attending sales and technical meetings, reporting on work undertaken to managers
What you will need to Apply:
Specifically for this role, the business is looking to speak with keen individuals who come from an engineering background and who may additionally have excellent technical knowledge and experience. Candidates should have worked within a similar role, handling quotations and projects, as well as CAD knowledge. It would be highly desirable to also have knowledge of contract or project management.
