NET Recruit are partnering with a leading business to search for a Senior Civil Engineer in the context of Drainage & Infrastructure, to join a team operating in the Bristol area.
Your Role
- Managing project workload to meet deadlines
- Working as part of a wider team to deliver items, develop solutions for sectional applications including S106, S185, S278 & EA applications and providing support for junior members of the team
- Designing private drainage networks and civil engineering schemes, as well as reviewing the work completed by others
- Utilising Civils 3D, Micro Drainage or PDS/Causeway flow software to handle design work
- Developing solutions for sectional applications such as S106, S185, S278 and EA
- Using AutoCAD to prepare layouts alongside the technicians
- Preparing documentation and FRAs to support planning applications
- Communicating with clients regarding the scope of the project, and building strong working relationships with these
- Undertaking site surveys, inspections and prepare reports
- Preparing tenders and fee proposals
You MUST Have
- Civil Engineering degree, or fully/partly chartered status (working towards Chartered Engineer (ICE))
- Minimum of 3 years of significant postgraduate experience within a relevant and comparable role
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in managing stakeholder relationships, and a strong level of written English
- Full UK driving license and own transport
Your Opportunity
This business has been seeing an increased level of success and workload over the last few years, leading to sustained growth within the market. The position holder within this role will be collaborating cross functionally with a range of engineers and technicians to deliver engineering designs for large and small projects, with responsibility for the drainage and infrastructure aspects of the projects, that will range from small domestic projects, up to in the range of £20m.
For this excellent opportunity the business is offering a starting salary in the region of £55,000, dependent on previous experience. This will accompany a package including a company bonus scheme, great pension and a strong holiday allocation, with the option to purchase more. There will be additional rewards and benefits available relating to healthcare, flexible working and employee schemes.
