Your Company: NET Recruit are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, internationally recognised organisation who are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is a field-based role, primarily operating from a main base in Rugby. You will be working on a variety of plant, equipment, and fixed installations, often in challenging and fast-paced environments. The role offers excellent variety, responsibility, and long-term development within a growing engineering business.

  • Carrying out mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation work at customer sites
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective rectification of mechanical defects
  • Ensuring all work meets required safety, quality, and performance standards
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings to complete installations and repairs
  • Supervising and coordinating subcontractors where required
  • Supporting installation and decommissioning of plant and equipment

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proven experience in mechanical field service, installation, or maintenance
  • Background working within industries such as food, construction, quarrying, waste, or utilities
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a field-based environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week
  • Willingness to undergo or obtain security clearance if required
