As part of this expansion, the business is looking to appoint a Plant Machinery Specialist Underwriter to join its Specialty Underwriting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced underwriter seeking to take ownership of a specialist portfolio while contributing to underwriting strategy, product development and long-term business growth.
Your Roles Responsibilities: While in this position your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Underwriting new and existing Plant Machinery business in accordance with underwriting authority and governance standards
- Assessing, pricing and negotiating complex plant, machinery and engineering-related risks
- Managing a portfolio of brokers and key trading partners, developing strong and lasting relationships
- Driving profitable growth through effective risk selection and portfolio management
- Underwriting a range of specialist risks including Contractors' Plant Equipment, Hired-In Plant, Owned Plant
