A highly successful engineering business is searching for a HVAC Field Service Technician in the Glasgow area.
Your Role
- Accurately diagnosing problems with the system, whilst undertaking product and equipment servicing at customer sites.
- Attending customer breakdowns, warranty work, scheduled planned preventive maintenance and hire and commissioning work at customer sites.
- Ensuring that strong relationships are developed and maintained with customers during time spent at their sites, conducting work in a professional manner and acting as their trusted adviser and point of contact regarding work.
- Working proactively with various internal teams such as the sales, operations and service desk team, optimising use of communication channels to share customer insights and supporting with active work as needed.
- Utilising the latest, cutting-edge technology, equipment and software in order to complete jobs effectively, efficiently to the highest quality.
- Following both blueprints and engineering specifications in order to both diagnose and repair units.
- Preparing regular reports based on information on completed and invoiced work orders.
- Collaborating with supervisors, senior technicians and service managers to provide an outstanding service to clients and identify areas for continuous improvement.
You MUST Have:
- Proven experience within a service and/or field-based technician role.
- Relevant skill-based certifications, including F-Gas.
- Relevant HVAC sector experience.
- Knowledge and ideally previous experience working with heat pump units.
- Excellent customer service skills, and strong communication abilities.
- Good system and IT knowledge including Microsoft Office, and particularly an aptitude for using relevant Apps and diagnostic software.
- Full UK Driver’s License.
- Ability to provide cover on call outs and standbys on a scheduled basis, covering some weekends and bank holidays as needed.
