NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with a leading engineering organisation specialising in climate, HVAC and process cooling solutions in their search for a Equipment Sales Engineer to join their team.
With a strong focus on delivering efficient and sustainable technical solutions, the business works with customers across a range of industries to provide specialist equipment, services and project support. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships and support the growth of a specialist equipment portfolio.

Your Roles and Responsibilities
While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and targeting potential customers across a range of industries requiring HVAC, process cooling and temperature control solutions.
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to generate new leads and convert opportunities into successful sales.
  • Conducting market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline and ensuring CRM records are accurate and up to date.
  • Working closely with marketing teams to support promotional activity and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Developing a strong technical understanding of HVAC and process temperature control equipment, including process chillers, temperature control units and associated equipment and installations.
  • Providing technical guidance to customers and helping them identify the most appropriate equipment, hire, rental or service solution for their requirements.
  • Conducting customer site visits and technical assessments to understand requirements and develop accurate solutions.
  • Working in accordance with RAMS and relevant QHSE requirements when undertaking customer site activities.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Project Management teams to develop and customise solutions in line with customer specifications.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers, acting as a trusted technical and commercial point of contact.
  • Understanding customer requirements and providing timely and effective solutions to support customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers to identify additional requirements and future opportunities.
  • Providing appropriate after-sales support, including troubleshooting, maintenance guidance and coordination with technical teams.
  • Preparing regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance updates for management.
  • Analysing customer feedback, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Providing recommendations and commercial insight to support the wider sales strategy.
  • Working towards agreed sales and performance objectives and contributing to the achievement of wider business targets.
  • Maintaining compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, QHSE requirements and relevant industry regulations.
  • Taking responsibility for ongoing professional development and keeping technical and commercial knowledge up to date.

What You Will Need To Apply:
Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience within a sales, business development or customer-facing commercial role, ideally within HVAC, refrigeration, process cooling or a related engineering environment.
  • Experience selling technical equipment, solutions or services to commercial or industrial customers.
  • An engineering qualification or relevant practical engineering experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, process cooling or temperature control systems.
  • Experience with equipment such as process chillers, temperature control units, air handling equipment or associated HVAC solutions would be beneficial.
  • A proven track record of developing customer relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a target-driven and results-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and sales pipeline effectively.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Project Management, Operations and Marketing teams.
  • A full driving licence and the ability to travel to customer locations as required.
  • The right to work in the UK.
