As we grow, we are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Commercial Bid Manager with strong commercial, financial, technical, and business acumen. The Commercial Bid Manager will prepare successful bids and oversee the entire bid process.
The ideal candidate will already be in a similar role, with experience in developing Commercial bids of various sizes and complexities to a high standard, producing content, and managing the overall bid process. Experience within Defence and the Public Sector is highly desirable.

Commercial Bid Manager Requirements
- APMP Foundation or interest in working towards certification
- Experience in bid writing, coordination, and/or management
- Understanding of public sector or defence procurement is beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Organised, proactive, and confident working across teams
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Prepare winning bids and manage the end-to-end bid process, including managing an opportunity from qualification through to contract award
- Manage all aspects of the Commercial bid process and create proposals that enable NCL to continue to acquire and retain customers
- Accountable for bids from PQQ to Contract Award, with KPIs associated with Bid: Win Ratio
- Manage the development and completion of bids by gathering technical, commercial, and financial information from a variety of sources in a structured manner.
- Responsible for developing bids to a consistently high standard, working closely with NCL s Enterprise & Defence sales teams to fully understand prospective customer requirements and ensure that Net Consulting s value proposition is communicated
- Own & manage the preparation of bids, interpreting requirements and creating engaging written quality responses
- Collaborate with NCL s technical and delivery teams and be able to communicate their information in a customer-centric manner.
- Work collaboratively with external parties to manage bid responses.
- Manage bid workshops, including organising meetings, providing briefings and ensuring that everyone involved in bidding understands the processes associated with bid planning, bid preparation and can make a meaningful contribution to the preparation of winning bids.
- Manage all supporting bid documentation and pricing elements.
- Manage the bid quality review process to ensure that the bid team submits high-quality bid deliverables on time.
- Development of Net Consulting s bid content library and supporting documentation Identify areas for improvement or competitive advantages in future proposals.
