We are seeking a strategic and experienced SEO Manager to join our team as maternity cover. This high‑impact leadership role is responsible for driving the organic search strategy for NET‑A‑PORTER and MR PORTER. The successful candidate will lead the SEO team and oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of two major site migrations, combining technical excellence, content strategy, and strong project management during a key phase of digital evolution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and support the SEO team across Technical and Content disciplines, ensuring clear goals and ongoing development.
  • Own the SEO roadmap for two major site migrations, including auditing, mapping, risk mitigation, and post‑launch recovery.
  • Define and execute a holistic SEO strategy that balances technical health, content authority, and commercial impact.
  • Act as the primary SEO partner to Product, Marketing, and Merchandising to ensure SEO requirements are prioritised.
  • Analyse and report on organic performance to senior leadership, using insights to guide resources and strategic shifts.
  • Oversee complex technical implementations to ensure optimal crawlability, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals, while supporting content optimisation and AI driven opportunities.
  • Manage SEO budgets and vendor relationships to maximise efficiency and return on investment.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of SEO experience with at least 1–2 years in a management or lead role, ideally in luxury retail or large‑scale e‑commerce.
  • Proven experience leading SEO strategy for major website migrations, including redirect planning and performance monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of technical SEO, including HTML, JavaScript, Schema, and site architecture, with experience working within Agile environments.
  • Expert proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and enterprise tools such as SemRush.
  • Ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear business insights for non‑technical and C‑suite stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify drivers behind performance trends and convert them into strategic actions.
  • Interest in the luxury fashion landscape and emerging AI developments shaping search.
