About the role: We are recruiting for an Engineering Technician within our Workshop, based at our Tutbury Factory. This is a permanent opportunity which will report into the Workshop Manager. The Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. The factory is a Centre of excellence for Nescafé products around the world producing freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee technologies and is at the forefront of coffee innovation globally.
Your impact:
- Maintenance of site equipment and systems in accordance with health and safety, quality and food hygiene standards.
- Support with the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of all equipment as and when required.
- Provide quick and effective reactive breakdown maintenance of site equipment.
- Effective communication with all key stakeholders to ensure departmental goals/priorities are achieved.
Your ingredients for success:
- Must have a Time Served Apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent, ideally with a Mechanical background.
- Will be self-motivated to work alone or part of a team.
- Experience of various types of workshop machinery, including Lathe, Miller etc is essential.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
