Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

Salary: 45,024 per annum

Working pattern: 42 hours per week, 2 days followed by 2 nights and then 4 days off. Days 06:00 to 18:00; nights 18:00 to 06:00.

Contract type: Full Time, Permanent

Manufacturing at Nestlé is about delivering quality products at the right time and place, while improving performance and reducing losses. As a Line Leader, you will help ensure your assigned line runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, supporting both the production plan and the development of the people around you.

Your Impact

In this role, you will help create a safe, capable and high-performing production environment. You will lead your line team through day-to-day operations, support continuous improvement and coach others to deliver against safety, quality and performance priorities.

  • Safety & Quality: Lead safe working practices, support compliance with quality and legal requirements, and help build a culture focused on zero accidents and zero waste.
  • Line Performance: Support delivery of the production plan by helping the team prioritise activity, manage planned stops and maintain effective daily routines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use Total Productive Maintenance tools and performance measures to identify opportunities, reduce losses and improve line effectiveness.
  • Problem Solving: Work with the Line Performance Engineer and wider team to understand root causes of unplanned stops and support practical, sustainable improvements.
  • Standards & Routines: Role model the use of Personal Protective Equipment, Good Manufacturing Practices and key standard routines, while constructively challenging gaps when needed.
  • Coaching & Collaboration: Build team capability by coaching colleagues, sharing best practice across shifts and supporting a positive, inclusive working environment.

Essential

  • Team Leadership: Experience of leading, supporting or coordinating a team in an operational environment.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Experience of working in an FMCG, production, manufacturing or similar fast-paced operational setting.
  • Safety & Quality: Ability to role model safe working practices and support quality standards, including routine compliance and continuous improvement activity.
  • People Development: Ability to coach, support and encourage others to build capability and improve team performance.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with colleagues across shifts, functions and site teams to solve problems and deliver shared priorities.

Desirable

  • Continuous Improvement Tools: Exposure to Total Productive Maintenance, Daily Management System Audit routines, root cause analysis or similar improvement methods.
  • Line Performance: Knowledge of production planning, planned stops, unplanned stop reduction or line efficiency measures.
  • Food or Petcare Manufacturing: Exposure to food, petcare or regulated manufacturing environments.
