Job Overview:

Fabric Engineer to join our industrial service maintenance team in Wisbech. This role ensures effective maintenance and repair of fabric structures and systems, contributing to operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond to reactive works within the team to address immediate maintenance needs and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintenance Task Management: Ensure maintenance tasks, including site electrical maintenance and general fabrication, are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Site Surveys and Repairs: Conduct site surveys and perform repairs on floor and wall coverings, and manage ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
  • Planned Maintenance: Complete planned maintenance tasks on building fabric and water systems using a computerised maintenance management system.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Technical Qualifications: Electrical or mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent); electrical qualification (BS7671 18th Ed) considered a bonus.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and standards; role requires working from heights.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems for maintenance management and record-keeping.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to organise tasks effectively and determine material requirements.
