Position: MRP Planner (Materials Management Planner)

Location: Sudbury, Suffolk

Salary: Circa £20,000 depending on experience.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Part-Time Permanent)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor material availability to fulfil requirements within agreed cost boundaries and alert stakeholders about potential issues.
  • Manage exceptions to the execution process and escalations when required.
  • Create an optimised replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials over an 18-month horizon ensuring supply for production and meeting working capital targets.
  • Monitor supply signals via MRP purchase requisitions, ensuring correct delivery dates, lead times, and quantities, and create purchase orders ensuring supplier fulfilment.
  • Manage direct supplier delivery of materials according to storage limitations, including receiving, investigating errors and discrepancies, handling all exceptions, and claims management.
  • Identify opportunities concerning material supply for the factory over the next 18 months.
  • Monitor supplier performance and, with support from the European Purchasing Team, escalate issues related to on-time, quantity & quality performance.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of relevant operational experience in manufacturing logistics.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Factory Logistics, Materials Handling, Supply Chain.
