The role
You’ll take ownership of Recipe Management for our Cocoa & Malt Beverages (CMB) business acting as the single point of contact for recipe formulation, compliance and approval. Following a structured handover you’ll become fully operational as the CMB category Material and Recipe Management lead. You will work alongside the current MRM for Chocolate, Snacking & Biscuits and Sugar to complete the management of the confectionery recipe portfolio.
Your Impact
- Recipe management & formulation — enable recipe compliance by design by building competence of product developers in a global network of factories & R&D centres.
- Compliance & recipe approval — manage nutritional and regulatory output to meet internal and external guidance and legal frameworks.
- Systems & tools — work day-to-day in SAP and across purpose built Power BIs, with centrally managed training and regulatory databases to ensure foodstuff specifications are nutritionally compliant.
- Technical acceptance & SAP — own the Technical Acceptance process, liaising with the central quality, regulatory and marketing teams. You will be an approver in the workflow to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Data Stewardship & Digital Enhancements– act as a guardian for data accuracy in material specifications to ensure foundations for enhancements in digital tools and automated recipe solutions.
Your ingredients for Success
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of food regulations and labelling requirements, be confident managing cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams, and be highly organised with a strong attention to detail. The position offers ownership of a category-wide recipe management scope from the outset, exposure to globally recognised brands such as MILO and NESQUIK, and the opportunity to collaborate within Nestlé’s York-based R&D team and wider global organisation.
Essential
- Experience in recipe formulation and product development
- Solid grasp of food regulatory and labelling requirements
- Detail-driven, structured, and confident owning approval workflows end to end.
Desirable
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of SAP (recipe management modules); exposure to formulation and compliance platforms is a strong advantage.
