Position Summary
Here at Nestlé UK&I, we are recruiting for a Media Specialist to join our team. Reporting into the Head of Media Cluster North, this role will play a key part in supporting and challenging category and agency teams to place media at the core of their marketing activities, using digital data as the key enabler to power and execute marketing strategies to drive marketing effectiveness.
A day in the life of a Media Specialist...
- Be responsible for delivering media support for all brand campaigns within agreed portfolio of brands/categories to ensure Nestlé receives exceptional campaign plans and media value from the market.
- Ensure the Communications Planning Process (including the PCT/ Plan and PCA) is adhered to by marketing and agencies, thus ensuring quality of delivery.
- Build effective working relationships across functions and levels with relevant agencies.
- Be responsible for the delivery and execution of digital best practices and frameworks (via training, online sharing platforms and other means).
- Accurate and timely control of all relevant budgets including share of digital spend, ongoing spends across partners including FB, Google etc; Return on Investment compliance; monthly plans and others.
- Agree annual bonus calculations for UK and Ireland agencies.
- Develop relationships with partners and media owners such as Meta, Google, Pinterest, Twitter.
- Assist with developing Digital and Social Media Communications to ensure greater brand knowledge and adoption among Nestlé Marketing community.
- Provide test and learn programmes to increase knowledge and capability in both 'new media' and 'future media' (identified significant marketing trends that are still in infancy).
- Provide expertise, and best practice guidance across the key pillars of digital - Social, Search (Paid & SEO), Programmatic, Data activation.
- Knowledge of offline media (TV, Print, OOH).
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role you will have a deep understanding of many facets within media and a robust commercial understanding in FMCG. You will have media agency experience at Senior Manager/Account Director level (or equivalent) - ideally in a fast-paced agency environment managing paid media campaigns.
You will have an ability to combine sound analytical thinking and technical understanding, with the imagination and creativity to develop innovative plans, presented in a compelling way, with strong execution. You will be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in an energetic and exciting environment. It is a given that you will know the importance of being able to flex your style whilst working across various teams.
You will also have:
- Proven experience of working with media budgets (6 to 7 figure annual spends ideal), with strong understanding of how to allocate and optimise spends across channels.
- Experience working on FMCG, retail or consumer-facing brands is highly desirable.
