Position: LGV Driver – Permanent, East Midlands Gateway, Kegworth.

Reports to: Delivery Operations Manager on site.

Location: East Midlands Gateway, Kegworth, East Midlands.

Salary: £55,085.94 (Base £41,418.00 + Shift allowance £13,667.94)

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Annualised hours with 2 days/2 nights on 4 days off rolling. Inclusive of Bank Holidays. Variable start times 04:00‑07:00 / 16:00‑19:00. 12‑hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain load integrity using correct procedures for load restraint, performance and conduct on the road, fuel‑efficient driving, vehicle defect checks, compliance with all traffic legislation, working time and highway code rules.
  • Load and unload goods where required.
  • Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour.
  • Ensure all necessary safety regulations are followed.
  • Complete all paperwork and documentation to ensure safety and compliance, including pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness.

Qualifications:

  • Full HGV C+E (Class 1) licence – preferably clean.
  • Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards.
  • Strong knowledge of drivers' hours, regulations and Working Time Directive.
  • Excellent geographic knowledge and ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and other navigation tools.
  • Ability to effectively navigate common IT systems, applications and platforms.
  • Up‑to‑date Driver CPC.
