Overview

At Nestlé UK & Ireland Confectionery, you’ll be part of a team behind some of the nation’s most loved brands, including Quality Street and After Eight. Our Halifax factory combines heritage with advanced manufacturing, using automated production and packing lines to deliver quality at scale.

Role

In this role, you’ll join our Manufacturing Excellence team, focusing on driving continuous improvement, digitalisation, and performance across the site. You will play a key role in embedding best‑in‑class ways of working and enhancing operational excellence through structured methodologies.

Your Impact

You will drive meaningful improvements across manufacturing operations by embedding a culture of continuous improvement and data‑led decision making. Your work will enhance efficiency, capability, and long‑term performance across the factory.

  • Continuous Improvement Delivery: Lead and coach improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, delivering measurable business results
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Drive TPM implementation and maturity to improve equipment reliability and team capability
  • Data & Digitalisation: Use data analysis and visualisation tools to identify improvement opportunities, prioritise initiatives, and support better decision‑making across the factory
  • Capability Building: Develop production and maintenance teams through coaching on problem‑solving, root cause analysis, and autonomous maintenance
  • Strategic Alignment: Translate factory and business priorities into actionable improvement roadmaps and local master plans

Your Ingredients for Success

  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience within a manufacturing environment, including exposure to frontline production operations
  • Continuous Improvement Expertise: Hands‑on experience implementing TPM and leading structured improvement initiatives in fast‑paced environments
  • Technical & Digital Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (including Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint) and data analysis platforms such as Minitab or similar systems
  • Systems & Analytics Knowledge: Experience working with manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, SAP or similar) and applying statistical analysis to drive decisions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and embed continuous improvement practices such as PDCA and SDCA

Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or working towards) is desirable.
