Position Summary
Are you passionate about data and its transformative power in driving business success? Nestlé is seeking a dedicated Local Data Analytics Leader to spearhead our data governance and analytics initiatives in alignment with the Zone Europe Chief Data Officer roadmap. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the ZEUR Solutions Architect and the Zone Europe Governance Lead to design and execute a robust local Data Governance strategy.
As the guardian of data integrity and quality, you will leverage data assets and raw sources to tackle business challenges and provide actionable insights tailored to our market needs. You will own a value-driven portfolio of data and analytics use cases that align with our business strategy, driving innovation and showcasing value through agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the local data and analytics communities, ensuring effective collaboration among Stakeholders.
  • Act as a key partner to the ZEUR Chief Data Officer, supporting the deployment of Connect initiatives and prioritising data analytics use cases for evaluation by the ZEUR Digital Leadership team.
  • Manage business rules evolution, monitor data quality, and ensure compliance with Nestlé standards.
  • Empower your team to develop and implement data governance practices that enhance the quality of data for analytics use cases.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and coordinate data literacy development programs across all functions and categories.

A day in the life of a Digital Lead
In this critical role, you will be responsible for creating compelling business cases that outline the costs, benefits, and impacts of various data analytics use cases. Your insights will be presented to the Zone Digital Leadership Team, influencing strategic decisions and driving our data-driven culture forward. In addition to this you will engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for data initiatives, identifying opportunities to leverage analytical techniques for impactful business solutions. You will advocate for data technology enablement, particularly tools related to Connect, and facilitate change management to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a robust data analytics roadmap.
  • Create and document business cases for analytics initiatives, detailing necessary costs, benefits, and impacts.
  • Coordinate with data providers to ensure your team has access to the required data in the right scope, quality, and formats for successful project execution.
  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders to drive alignment and support for data initiatives.
  • Showcase data technology opportunities and advocate for best practices within the analytics and governance community.
  • Communicate the department’s initiatives and results internally and externally at conferences and industry events.
  • Provide expertise on data strategy, trends, and risks, while enhancing data literacy through capability building and training.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to elicit and document governance requirements.
  • You will lead best practices for data providers, assets, and products, focusing on resolving Master Data roadblocks in partnership with Nestlé Group.
  • You will also support business governance processes and work closely with the ZEUR Solutions Architect to ensure compliance with data security guidelines.

What Will Make You Successful
To be successful in this role you will have a breadth of experience within data analytics. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy. You’ll also have great communication skills that enable you to challenge and influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive stakeholder relationships. Being proactive and challenging in order to arrive at a resolution is a must, as is having a real desire to get to the heart of issues that may arise. Coupled with your ability to lead develop and engage a team.
You will also have experience of:
  • Proficient in data visualization and statistical techniques using software like MS Power BI, Python, and SQL, as well as cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Ability to leverage analytical models to solve business problems, demonstrating successful implementation and tangible business value.
  • Advising senior executive leadership and simplify complex messages for broader business understanding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both local language and English, with experience in cross-team coordination.
  • Skilled at conveying complex results to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering successful analytic collaboration.
  • Experience of leading a team and working independently as a highly organized self-starter.
