Nestlé Professional ("NP") is our Business‑to‑Business foodservice arm, which specialises in the Out of Home solutions market. The unrivalled portfolio of NP includes food brands such as MAGGI and renowned coffee brands including ‘We Proudly Serve’ STARBUCKS and NESCAFE. NP operates successfully in an enormous marketplace and is an ambitious growth driver for Nestlé. The team’s aim is to inspire growth in our partners, by providing branded, creative solutions that help our customers develop their business, ultimately driving end‑user footfall and increasing their profit.
A day in the life of a Senior National Account Manager …
- Working as part of our Sales team, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships and delivering profitable sustainable growth through the day‑to‑day management of the commercial plan.
- You will work closely with experienced colleagues within the Customer Business Team and the Category Development Team to deliver growth and market share.
- Develop and agree customer specific joint business plans (JBP’s) to successfully achieve Nestlé’s and the customer’s commercial goals.
- Have full P&L management and accountability including sales revenue, trade spend, market share and profit targets.
- Pro‑actively manage the relationship between Nestlé and the customers delivering growth and unlocking opportunities.
- Build and develop effective relationships through an engaging and forward‑thinking contact strategy, utilising different functional teams to deliver a best‑in‑class partnership.
- Co‑create and execute robust channel strategies, ensuring we have the tools we need to win in channels and customers for the long term.
- Provide all the required inputs for the Monthly Business Planning cycle.
- Oversee and ensure Nestlé Category and Marketing initiative plans are executed in store by working in conjunction with Brand Managers and our Field Sales teams.
- Run promotional post‑evaluation and optimisation throughout the year to drive ROI understanding across the major multiples.
- Ensure all day‑to‑day account issues are dealt with effectively and efficiently with a customer centric approach.
- Closely monitor industry and competitor activity, to ensure our strategic commercial vision is in line with market demands in a constantly changing, competitive environment.
What will make you successful
To be successful, you’ll already have a fantastic breadth of sales experience within the FMCG sector. You will be passionate, tenacious, results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. Acting as an ambassador for our brands, you will have commercial capability and have experience of influencing across all levels. It’s a given that you will know the importance of being able to flex your style whilst working in an environment that can be, at times, ambiguous.
- Be a skilled negotiator and have the ability to conduct multi‑faceted negotiations.
- Have an understanding of forecast planning principles.
- Demonstrate a solid level of analytical and numeracy capability including the basics of customer Profit and Loss statements.
- Understand the importance of working in a customer centric way.
- Be curious! Specifically, to continue developing your already strong Category Management skills.
- A solid understanding of Supply Chain and demand planning principles.
