Your impact:
Reporting into the Nestlé Professional Category DSP Lead, this role will be responsible for creating an accurate and timely forecast for a range of brands across the portfolio. With knowledge and a clear understanding of supply chain, you will be able to accurately formulate weekly & monthly demand plans with the Sales teams and manage these in conjunction with the category demand planning and product supply team.
The Category DSP Lead will support you in achieving these objectives; however, you will be afforded a high degree of responsibility early on in this largely autonomous role. Therefore, an overriding desire to not only achieve KPIs but to exceed them will be critical for success.
Your other key responsibilities will include:
- Production and ownership of a timely and accurate rolling 18-month forecast across a range of brands and SKUs.
- Identification, quantification and incorporation of all factors and information relevant to the determination of an accurate forecast.
- Development of relationships and collaborative planning processes with Category Teams, sales teams, Demand Analyst and some external customers to support the forecasting process.
- Successfully engaging cross-functional input, to ensure high levels of planning accuracy, business delivery and customer service.
- Playing a pivotal role within the monthly business process through planning.
- Challenge, manage and track NPD launch volumes along with Demand Analyst/Prefilled dispatch/Line code phasing, reflecting and reducing short-term volatility.
- Working with the wider DSP community to share best practice, tools and ways of working.
Your ingredients for success:
To be successful in this role you will already have experience working in Supply Chain (ideally within other Demand & Supply Planning roles or Customer Facing Supply Chain). Preferably you will have gained this experience within the FMCG sector establishing an understanding of the end-to-end process.
You will have the ability to plan, meet deadlines and be able to achieve results that make an impact whilst building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Other competencies required are:
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and to work autonomously.
- Demonstrable analytical skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively.
- Open to new ways of doing things.
- A positive mindset.
- Desire to challenge the status quo.
