Overview
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Contract and Bid Manager as we expand our sales team to deliver Sales Digital Transformation in our market. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence, you will drive, develop and acquire new contracted business across all Nestlé Professional categories in target channels, and retain existing key customer contracts.
Responsibilities
- Own the tender process, linking in with Sales Teams, Nestlé in the Market (NIM), Business Support to ensure that submission timelines are met.
- Build tender/contract pipeline.
- Manage central documentation for long‑term contracts.
- Report on key customer tender opportunities.
- Enable sales to win more new business by providing best‑in‑class tender materials and collateral via an online Tender Desk (Information Library and Tender Library).
- Deliver the ‘WOW’ factor in key customer contract and tender proposals, utilising all media options; engage key internal contacts across the NIM business (incl. Legal, Finance, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, Regulatory, etc.) to ensure the contract process is audit compliant.
- Provide monthly visibility of key contracts (Acquire, Develop, Retain) through the Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process; communicate contract performance across the organisation; develop and align resources across multiple functions to deliver winning propositions.
- Post‑evaluate all tenders and contracts and share learnings with stakeholders.
- External networking with priority route‑to‑market customers and industry bodies to ensure full visibility of all major out‑of‑home contracts in play.
- Ensure the Nestlé Professional Contract Library is up to date with all relevant materials and certification.
Qualifications
To be successful you should have:
- Strong sales or commercial experience in the FMCG sector.
- Highly motivated with strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead virtual, cross‑functional teams.
- Proven experience creating compelling customer propositions.
- Track record of evaluating activity and making data‑driven recommendations.
- Analytical mindset and good use of insights.
- Legal or contracts experience.
- Solid understanding of commercial and financial situations.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes.
- Strong and flexible communication skills.
- Organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads.
- Creative flair and willingness to use new digital tools to enhance contract pitches.
