Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Resource Engineer to join our Nestlé Waters team based at our state‑of‑the‑art production facility in Buxton. As a leading bottler of premium mineral and local waters, our purpose is to unlock the regenerative power of water to enhance the quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come. Day in the Life

The Water Resource Engineer is responsible for managing the implementation and execution of water resources to ensure optimal water ratios and product delivery. This role covers water quality, reliability and maintenance of water systems to optimise production efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Water Resource Management – Own and manage implementation of water resources, ensuring quality from sources to production lines. Supervises water resources operator.
  • Compliance and Standards – Act as duty holder at water treatment and sources, ensuring compliance with standards and reporting to senior duty holder.
  • Maintenance and Reliability – Ensure reliability and maintenance of water systems, participate in maintenance routines and support maintenance methodologies.
  • Budget Management – Provide input for annual maintenance budget, assist in reporting and tracking expenditures, and analyze financial performance.
  • Collaboration and Support – Build strong relationships with external partners, manage water sharing agreements, and provide support to engineering, production and quality teams.
  • Continuous Improvement – Expand data network to enhance water resource management and support continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance – Support production in eliminating quality defects and safety risks, ensuring adherence to applicable standards.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Professional Qualification – Multi‑skilled engineering background (HNC or equivalent).
  • Professional Experience – At least 3 years of engineering management experience, preferably in FMCG manufacturing, focusing on maintenance, industrial services, engineering and automation.
  • Team Collaboration – Proven ability to work effectively in multifunctional teams and build relationships across departments.
  • Technical Knowledge – Good knowledge of electrical systems, instruments, control systems and asset maintenance.
  • Commitment to Safety – Commitment to absolute intolerance for unsafe situations concerning product quality, people and environmental safety.
  • Continuous Improvement – Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, preferably TPM practices.
