What to Expect
We are looking for an Inventory Controller to be based at our Brampton location reporting to the Inventory Controller Manager. The main purpose of the Inventory Controller is the maintenance of accurate stock at 3PL DCs and subcontracting vendors, through the timely processing of stock declarations, transactions, and reconciliation. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of an Inventory Controller
- Maintaining inventory accuracy at Third Party Warehouse and in Vendor locations
- Reconciliation of inventory discrepancies between SAP and 3rd party warehouse
- Resolution of IDOC and EDI messaging failures
- Conducting Food Safety & Security practices
- Completion of product hold activities in adherence to food safety guidelines
- Ensure 3PL compliance to inventory control standards
- On Time Reporting to the Business
- Participating in 3PL operational reviews
- Reporting of inventory control KPIs
- Demonstrated value creation through a Lean Enterprise Mindset
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant / related areas.
- At least 1 year relevant and successful experience at market/business level in one or more of the following: Warehouse Operations / SAP Systems and Master Data / Inventory Control / Physical Logistics Operations
- Relevant operational experience at market/business level, in one of the following areas is beneficial: Customer Service or CFSC / Demand & Supply Planning / Transportation & Distribution
- Proactive self-starter with strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multi-task and complete time-sensitive tasks promptly
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience with SAP
