We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shopper Marketing Manager to join the team, based in Crawley on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will join a supportive team who share the value of open communication to generate impact and return towards our common goals. The scope of the role involves planning and implementing Shopper Marketing Campaigns across key brands in assigned Customers (Retailers) to maximise sales for Purina and deliver ROI.
Your impact:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the shopper marketing plans in your assigned Customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, own and execute the annual Shopper Marketing plan for assigned Customers based on shopper insights & alignment to the Customer Commercial Strategy effectively managing multiple projects at any one time.
- Own Customer Shopper inputs into the Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process. Provide specific customer context to aid development of optimal shopper ideas / execution ongoing.
- Inspire assigned customers as part of brand planning days. Share following year campaigns which have been tailored to suit customers and their shopper needs and based on credible insights to meet objectives and drive sales.
- Make Shopper Marketing Investment work smarter through effectively managing the budget and evaluating campaigns, identifying impact against shopper objectives and evolving plans based on key learnings to drive positive ROI.
- Ensure the day to day running of Retail Media Suppliers.
- Brief artwork agencies on creative adaption suitable to your customer templates, following toolkit / brand guidelines and ensuring correct delivery of assets.
- Develop detailed understanding of your customers shoppers and use this understanding to proactively identify opportunities to align with customer events and strategies to deliver better shopper experiences.
- Build effective and rewarding internal & external stakeholder relationships: Be the first port of call for Customer /Agency and main point of contact for allocated brand(s) and relevant sales team.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an agile environment managing multiple projects at once. You will be happy to work under pressure and have the ability to manage workload calmly and professionally in an ever-changing environment to deliver exceptional results, using your initiative to solve challenges rapidly and often creatively. Relationship building is key to success in this role so you should be able to demonstrate an excellent relationship building ability internally, externally and within multifunctional teams.
Previous commercial experience in a Shopper / Trade Marketing role with experience working on a customer is preferable.
