Position Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Technical Store Operative, where your keen attention to detail and proactive approach will play a vital role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Spare Parts Management:

  • Lead the implementation of spare parts management routines, ensuring optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency.
  • Execute receiving, issuing, and organized storage of spare parts while regularly reviewing reorder levels based on maintenance strategies.

Stock Control and Compliance:

  • Conduct stock control and compliance duties, analysing slow-moving parts to eliminate obsolete stock.
  • Establish inventory control processes, including cycle counting and user training to enhance operational efficiency.

Team Collaboration and Safety:

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
  • Commit to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, fostering a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.

What will make you successful

  • Technical Qualification: Engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or above in mechanical or electrical) or substantial practical experience in engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in Asset Maintenance Management (AMM) or previous experience in technical stores.
  • System Proficiency: Knowledge of the Asset Maintenance Management system, specifically the SAP PM module.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, complemented by good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Additional Skills: Forklift License (Counterbalance or Reach) preferred, with training available for candidates without it.
