Position: We have a fantastic fixed term contract opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in Supply Chain as a DPS Planner based on site in Tutbury. Do you have experience of a dynamic fast-paced supply chain environment? Do you have the ability to analyse and interpret data? Do you have the mind-set and initiative for continuous improvement? Then this could be the role you are looking for.
Your impact: You will be responsible for creating and managing a short term production plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream for those assets you manage, to meet customer demand. This includes:
- Managing stock projections and ensuring the production plan meets our demand requirements.
- Reacting to changes in the MPS plan to ensure that we are making the right products at the right time to satisfy customer demands.
- Working closely with Operations to create a detailed production plan that appreciates the constraints of the assets for both packing and manufacturing.
- Controlling the inbound flow of key materials to the manufacturing operation.
- Building and maintaining robust relationships with stakeholders to ensure an optimised plan is published on time.
- Leading initiatives to improve lot sizes and cycle times with production in order to drive speed and agility at appropriate cost.
- Working with the business to plan and influence timings on new product development.
- Participating in initiatives to improve the efficiency, reliability, COF and agility of the end to end supply stream.
Your ingredients for success:
- Strong knowledge and experience of manufacturing and/or supply chain.
- Understanding of end-to-end planning or logistics role.
- Strong problem solving mind-set.
- Ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
- An effective influencer and communicator.
