Position Summary

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Contract and Bid Manager as we expand our sales team to deliver Sales Digital Transformation in our market.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence, as Contract and Bid Manager, you will drive, develop and acquire new contracted business across all Nestlé Professional categories in target channels, and retain existing key customer contracts. You will be responsible for the management of all Customer Contracts via (C4C – Sales CRM tool) and the Nestlé Professional online tender desk.

A day in the life of a Contract and Bid Manager …
Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Own the Tender process, linking in with Sales Teams, Nestlé in the Market (NIM), Business Support to ensure that submission time-lines are met
  • Build Tender / Contract pipe-line
  • Manage central documentation for long term contracts
  • Enable Sales to win more new business by providing \’Best in Class\’ tender materials and collateral via an online Tender Desk (Information Library and Tender Library)
  • Deliver the ‘WOW’ factor in key customer contract and tender proposals utilising all media options. Engage key internal contacts across the NiM business (inc. Legal, Finance, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, Regulatory etc.) to ensure the contract process is audit compliant.
  • Provide monthly visibility of key contracts (Acquire, Develop, Retain) through the MBP (Monthly Business Planning) process. Communicate contract performance across the organisation. Develop and align all resources across multiple functions to deliver winning propositions.
  • Post evaluation of all tenders and contracts and share learnings with stakeholders
  • External networking with priority RTM (Route to Market) customers and industry bodies to ensure we have full visibility and awareness of all major Out Of Home contracts in play.
  • Ensure the Nestlé Professional Contract Library is up to date with all the relevant materials and certification.

What will make you successful
To be successful in this role, you’ll already have some fantastic Sales / Commercial experience under your belt ideally within the FMCG sector. You should be highly motivated with strong commercial acumen. You’ll have good project skills and able to lead virtual teams across a multi-functional environment to deliver winning and compelling propositions.

You will also:

  • Have proven experience of creating compelling customer propositions
  • Proven track record of evaluating activity and making recommendations based on outcomes
  • Make good use of insightful information and be naturally analytical
  • Have legal or contracts experience
  • Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and financial situations
  • Be proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office programs
  • Have strong and flexible communication skills and styles
  • Be organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads
  • Have a creative flair to identify new and effective ways of making our contract pitches utilising more digital tools would be welcome.
