Position Summary We have an opportunity for an Asset Maintenance Manager at our Confectionery factory in Girvan, Scotland. This role is responsible for leading, guiding, and motivating the engineering team to ensure the plant is available to produce our products on time while meeting all quality and safety requirements. Nestlé Girvan Factory supplies York factory materials to support the manufacturing process at the home of the iconic confectionery brand Kit Kat, among other well-known brands such as Aero, Milky Bar, and Yorkie. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. A day in the life of an Asset Maintenance Manager Reporting to the Factory Operations Manager, this role will manage and support the activities of the maintenance team to meet both production and engineering demands. It will ensure that priority work is completed promptly while conforming to all Nestlé health and safety requirements and current legislation. You will develop a culture of proactivity where people take pride and responsibility in their work. The main focus of the role will be: Aligning engineering resources with factory strategy Ensuring Planned Maintenance activities are carried out as scheduled Overseeing the day-to-day leadership of a team of around 7 engineers Creating a structured environment for maintenance activities with clear expectations of behavior and performance, reviewed regularly Tracking and reporting on a defined budget for annual maintenance Supporting the implementation of Asset Maintenance and TPM-PM to maximize performance, including health and safety, quality, wastage, and efficiency through measurement and analysis Analyzing data and reviewing plant breakdowns to implement proactive strategies to prevent reoccurrences Promoting a safety-conscious working environment where all engineering employees adopt Nestlé Safe Working and hygienic practices Carrying out Opportunity Maintenance proactively on equipment that is not running What will make you successful? We seek a leader with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and the ability to coach and develop their team. Experience in a people management role within a food manufacturing or engineering environment Experience working in a unionized environment Ideally, a Degree / Diploma / HNC in Mechanical, Electrical & Automation, Process, Industrial Engineering, or similar A proven ability to achieve targets, drive improvements, and manage budgets Understanding of factory operations: TPM / Lean, health & safety, employment, quality, and hygiene legislation What you need to know We offer great benefits, including a competitive salary and benefits package, bonus scheme, flexible working scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and flex leave, pension scheme, and a focus on personal development and growth.
