The predicted salary is between 22950 - 28050 £ per year.

Business Area: Nestle UK&I Location: York Distribution Centre

Working hours are 06:50-15:00 and 09:50-18:00 Monday to Friday. Full-time position with 40.83 weekly hours (Mon-Fri) and contractual overtime of 64h at weekend overtime rate. Additional hours can be full shifts or scheduled Mon-Sun, excluding Bank Holidays, paid at normal Bank Holiday overtime rate.

You will play a key role in getting our household brands shipped out to our customers and consumers! Quality and pick accuracy is essential in this role to deliver the required customer and consumer experience. Being safety conscious and confident to challenge unsafe behaviours to ensure we avoid incidents will also be key for this position.

Your impact:

Ultimately, you will be responsible for the picking and packing of customer orders. Other key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Adhere to all Standard routines and safe working practices.
  • Deputise for the Shift Manager during any work-related or personal absence to ensure the delivery of customer needs, while promptly escalating unresolved issues to the Shift Manager or relevant responsible team.
  • Ensure compliance in management of inventory and associated Quality controls (Recording evidence).
  • Maximize internal and external customer service by ensuring timely and accurate despatch of goods, while adhering to YDC practices as defined within the NLQM guidance.
  • Use good housekeeping and YDC practices, including clean as you go mindset, to always maintain a clean & safe working area.
  • Promote good teamworking and effective communication between shifts and the management team, while fostering collaborative efforts to strengthen upstream and downstream process relationships and deliver end-to-end results.
  • Successfully identify and deliver opportunities for process improvement while also leading and supporting project delivery in the YDC, aligning with personal and business goals.
  • Support the delivery of KPIs and be involved in the reporting of these in relevant operational review meetings.

Your ingredients for success:

Ideally, you will come to us with experience in a similar Distribution or Fulfilment Centre environment, preferably in an FMCG environment. Other qualities will include but not be limited to:

  • Experience of coordinating multiple work streams and prioritising where necessary.
  • The ability to work closely with key stakeholders across Nestle and within the immediate team, demonstrating good communication skills.
  • A passion for customer service and ensuring the customer gets the right product on time.
  • A continuous improvement mindset always looking to improve ways of working along with the ability to problem solve.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems is desirable.
