Microbiology Analyst role to join the Nestle Quality Assurance Centre (NQAC) team in York.

Your Impact

Support the completion of microbiology testing and services to provide a safe, accurate, reliable and efficient testing service to the Nestle Quality Assurance Centre, York customers.

Work in a laboratory environment, routinely applying Good Laboratory Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Partake in relevant proficiency schemes.
  • Assist in project and investigation work as required by the business.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Assist in cleaning duties and disposal of waste materials.
  • Work to high standards of GLP to maintain ISO17025 accreditation and demonstrate ongoing competency through proficiency schemes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant science HND/degree covering Biology, e. g., Food Science or Microbiology.
  • Experience in laboratory testing environments, familiar with routine test methods.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Manage and prioritise workload in a fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience of traditional food testing methods is a distinct advantage.
