We’re excited to be recruiting for a Trade Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of the machine and new member plan for Nespresso UK & ROI across our Trade stores, focused on the North West & Scotland regions.
Your Impact:
You will play a key role in elevating brand awareness and driving business performance by building strong local store relationships. You will enable teams to optimise distribution, create memorable in‑store experiences, and ensure Nespresso leads the category both in execution and brand desirability.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and developing the trade plan, using performance data, insights, and trends to optimise distribution strategies.
- Empowering trade partners and demonstration teams to act as true brand ambassadors.
- Ensuring the teams are delivering against agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Building strong internal and external networks to enhance and grow the trade channel.
- Ensuring premium in‑store brand positioning, promotions, and commercial execution, maintaining consistency across all locations.
- Developing local joint business plans, agreeing targets and initiatives, and managing retailer relationships.
- Ensuring the right machine range and stock levels are available in‑store by effectively managing POS relationships.
- Maintaining operational excellence through regular store visits, reviews, and constructive feedback.
- Supporting and contributing to the sustainability strategy.
Your ingredients for success:
- To succeed in this role, you will bring customer‑facing experience within a consumer goods sales or field sales environment.
- As a brand ambassador for Nespresso, you will demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Have experience building and developing strong business relationships.
- Bring a solid understanding of field sales responsibilities, including demonstration programmes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of national retail chains; experience with household appliance distributors is advantageous.
- Understand trade sales and how to navigate this environment effectively.
- Have an appreciation for premium brands, with the ability to coach others on how to bring brand storytelling to life.
- Be confident interpreting sales data and translating insights into compelling selling stories.
- Have experience implementing merchandising concepts in‑store.
- Full UK Driving License required.

This role is a field‑based role and will require you to travel to trade locations regularly, around 4 days per week on average.
