We currently have the opportunity for one permanent role for Process Systems Engineer. This is a full-time opportunity, but we are always open to discuss individual’s flexible working needs during the recruitment process.

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity as a Process Systems Engineer joining our site in Staverton. You will report into the operational manager and be responsible for providing technical leadership as the system and product specialist. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving continuous improvements to the factory by optimising system performance and product quality.
  • Driving strategic productivity and capacity solutions along with building operators' capability.
  • Identifying and initiating productivity and efficiency improvements/opportunities and delivering projects using NCE tools e.g. DMIAC/GSTD.
  • Developing and delivering technical training in operations, cereal chemistry and technology, serving as a technical coach and mentor.
  • Providing Project Engineering Support and implementing CWO level engineering improvements or changes.
  • Ensuring that product/process tests and start-ups are supported and conducted effectively.
  • Developing and maintaining system capacity and capability studies.
  • Determining and documenting plant operating standards and providing cereal technology support.
  • Owning the Factory systems technical database and pro-actively networking to share information across CPUK/CPW/GMI/Nestlé.
  • Assisting across other plants with technical support and participating in cross-functional technology product teams.
  • Providing raw/packing material leadership within the Factory.

What will make you successful?

  • An engineering qualification in electrical and automation, mechanical or chemical engineering or food science.
  • Experience of process plant and process engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of raw and packaging materials used in the production of breakfast cereals is desirable.
  • Understanding of Safety, Engineering and Quality regulations.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is desirable.
