We are recruiting for a SHE Advisor to join the team to provide specialist Health & Safety support to the factory. This is a permanent opportunity which will report into the SHE Manager on site.
The Nestlé Dalston Factory, which is the home of Nescafe and produces a range of Cappuccino, Aero and Coffee mate products, is continually developing our recipes and expanding our leading brands.

Your impact:
The SHE Advisor will be responsible for supporting the SHE Manager in all aspects of health, safety and environment across site as well as covering for the Safety Manager when required. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Support incident investigations & reporting as required helping to provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Compliance - Support the maintenance of the factory SHE Management systems including maintaining ISO14001, ISO50001 and OHSAS450001 certification.
- Support and challenge colleagues to maintain all company standards providing coaching on all aspects of SHE and providing guidance during operational review meetings in each operational area.
- Implement & develop site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance in line with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence mind-set of zero accidents, zero harm and zero incidents.
- Support the site to ensure environmental compliance and management of environmental permits and consents.
Your ingredients for success:
The person that is successful in this role will demonstrate a passion and drive for improvement in SHE in all aspects of our operations. Ideally, you will bring previous experience from a Health & Safety role within an FMCG environment or similar. Experience within Manufacturing is preferred but other industrial sectors will also be considered.
Required qualifications for the role:
- Essential – Recognised Health & Safety qualification i.e. NEBOSH Certificate, Qualification in Environment Management i.e. ISEP Certificate / Diploma, PISEP Status. NEBOSH Env. Certificate / Diploma, Env. DipNEBOSH status
- Desirable – Degree in science related discipline.
A continuous improvement mindset and approach will also be useful in this role.
