Salary: £52,964.00 (inclusive of shift allowance and contractual overtime)

Shift pattern: Panama shift pattern – 12 hour rotating days and night shifts (all bank holidays and weekends off)

We are looking for an experienced, competent and multi-skilled engineer, ideally coming from an FMCG background to report into the Asset Maintenance Manager. This role, whilst having both Electrical and Mechanical elements, will have a heavy Electrical focus. This will be wide ranging, but experience of Motors, Pumps and Electrical control systems will be advantageous. Experience of PLC systems will also be a positive.

Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after a £250 million investment over the last few years. Your impact:

Joining a highly skilled team of 5 other Shift Engineers, you will be responsible for first line reactive and planned maintenance of varied high speed packing equipment.

Your other key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactive and Reactive fault finding and Maintenance of Motors, Pumps and Electrical control systems.
  • Providing support for, and alignment with the Engineering Management Team.
  • Driving break down analysis to continuously improve asset intensity and reduce unplanned stoppages.
  • Effective communicating with all key stakeholders to ensure departmental goals/priorities are achieved.
  • Supporting the departmental AMM strategy by continually seeking opportunities to revise and improve the PM03 plans and monitoring the M&I spend.

Your ingredients for success:

To be successful in this role you will already have significant experience as an Engineer within an FMCG manufacturing environment. It is essential for the successful candidate to be qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline.

Other key criteria:

  • Ideal completed a time served multi-skilled apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ level 3/City & Guilds/BTEC/HNC.
  • Desirable - Have previous experience within an FMCG environment.
  • Have a hands-on, practical approach to their work, along with a can-do attitude.
  • Can work as a team delivering compliance in safety, quality, cost and performance.
  • Be able to support the development of the team in line with the technical competency matrix and actively develop their own competencies in the department.
  • Is competent in the use of GLOBE SAP systems and reporting.
  • Will have good knowledge of TPM PM methodologies and a drive to implement these with the team.
