We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Hydrogeologist / Water Resource Manager to join our UK Nestle Waters & Premium Beverage team. The position can be based at either our Narberth, Pembrokeshire or Buxton, Derbyshire sites with regular requirement for travel between sites.

A day in the life of a Water Resource Manager
As a Water Resource Manager, you will play a crucial role in the conservation of water resources while supporting the operations and sustainability of our business. You will support all water resource activities related to the UK Nestle Waters & Premium Beverage factories, serving as a technical expert to enhance operational efficiency and lead initiatives aimed at improving water management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Resource Management:

  • Oversee Nestle Waters & Premium Beverage sources to ensure water availability and compliance.
  • Manage data acquisition and analysis for water quality, supply availability, and environmental performance.
  • Collaborate with the Water Resources engineering team to maintain and optimize existing water treatment assets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for third-party stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Nestle Waters & Premium Beverage Europe Water Resources Team and other key business stakeholders.
Project Management and Sustainability:
  • Support key water management initiatives and investment processes (CAPEX).
  • Support sustainability initiatives by managing Alliance Water Stewardship certification and local catchment improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with local partners and the community on water regenerative projects.
Compliance and Knowledge Management:
  • Stay updated on geological and legal information relevant to water sources.
  • Promote safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance in all aspects of the role.
What Will Make You Successful?
  • Holds a relevant degree or equivalent in Hydrogeology or a related field.
  • Demonstrates experience in managing groundwater resources and possesses sound knowledge of boreholes, springs, and groundwater quality.
  • Capable of critically evaluating hydrogeological analyses and providing targeted advice on complex environmental issues.
  • Familiarity with UK legislation related to water resources, environmental permitting, and water quality is preferred.
  • Thrives in complex environments, demonstrating flexibility and agility in managing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and skilled in imaginative problem-solving.
  • Exhibits credibility and the ability to influence and engage others with creative solutions.
  • Proven project management skills and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
