Location – Buxton, Derbyshire

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + potential bonus + fantastic benefits including comprehensive pension scheme, car allowance, 25 days holiday + additional 12 days flex days, flexible working and private health cover.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our team at the Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages site in Buxton. This pivotal role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and driving strategic logistics initiatives.

A day in the life of a Logistics Manager

As a Logistics Manager, you will oversee warehouse operations to achieve exceptional service, cost efficiency, and personnel performance aligned with the Operational Management Plan (OMP).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and CARE regulations.
  • KPI Management: Set and monitor warehousing service and cost KPIs, ensuring they meet target values.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement structured improvement initiatives using best practices and tools.
  • Cost Management: Drive cost-saving initiatives to enhance warehouse performance and efficiency.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the warehousing budget, including cost and investment planning.
  • Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement to negotiate contracts and manage service provider relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Work with Distribution Management, Production Planning, and Customer Service to optimize service and costs.
  • LEAN Implementation: Support the rollout of LEAN practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
