Overview
Nest are looking for a Head of Supplier Relationship Management on a Fixed Term Contract to design and implement a formal Supplier Relationship Management Programme (SRM) as part of a new Target Operating Model for the Strategic Sourcing team. The role will form part of the Strategic Sourcing leadership team and report into the Strategic Sourcing Director. The successful candidate will bring best practice in SRM and apply it to Nest's supply chain, working closely with the wider business to assess current supplier relationships and identify opportunities for better collaboration, driving value and delivering better outcomes for Nest members. The role will also have input into how Nest manages third-party risk and builds capability in the contract management team. There is a strong emphasis on applying industry best practice and evolving processes to meet that standard.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a formal Supplier Relationship Management Programme (SRM) as part of the Target Operating Model for the Strategic Sourcing team.
- Work closely with the wider business to assess current supplier relationships and identify opportunities for improved collaboration and value delivery for Nest members.
- Apply best practice in SRM across Nest’s supply chain and drive improved outcomes.
- Contribute to how Nest manages third-party risk and build capability within the contract management team.
- Oversee a key new activity within the Strategic Sourcing Team as part of a wider change and enhancement program.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing leadership and report to the Strategic Sourcing Director.
Experience / Qualifications
- Experience in implementing Supplier Relationship Management programmes across commercially developing organisations.
- Experience navigating difficult supplier relationships and mediating/negotiating mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
- Experience with business process outsourcing (BPO).
- Knowledge of Government Procurement regulation.
- Third Party Risk Management experience.
- Complex Commercial Contract experience including open-book contracting.
- Mixed experience in financial services/public sector (desirable).
- Experience coaching others and leading a team.
- Experience influencing colleagues and suppliers to embrace changes in approach.
Working arrangements
Flexible and agile working. Nest offers hybrid working arrangements (subject to role requirements): hybrid office (Canary Wharf, London) and home working with attendance at the office as required (once to twice a week or more). Options include reduced or varied working hours, compressed hours, or job sharing.
