Nest Marco Polo is our nursery for older toddlers and pre-school children at 7 Royal Wharf Walk, E16. We're looking for a Room Leader to lead our Toddler Room: someone who sets the tone for the room, brings out the best in their team, and helps every child reach their full potential.
What you'll do
- Lead the Toddler Room day to day, including the room routine, staff deployment and ratios
- Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS, and make sure observations and progress records are kept up to date
- Coach and support the practitioners in your room
- Keep the room safe, calm and stimulating, and make sure safety procedures are followed
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, and work with other professionals where a child needs extra support
- Take part in our enrichment programme, including Spanish, Mandarin, ballet and STEAM
What we're looking for
- A Level 3 early years qualification or above
- Ideally 2 years' experience in a nursery, including a year in a leadership role
- Strong communication skills, with children, parents and your team
- A passion for high-quality childcare, and the drive to be part of a team that strives to do better
What we offer
- Fully funded training and CPD, with paid time out of the nursery for face-to-face training
- Fast progression, with internal promotion first
- Private health insurance (after one year)
- Cycle to Work scheme and interest-free season ticket loans
- 28 days' holiday plus 3 paid INSET days a year
- Company pension
- Regular team socials and wellbeing events
