Nest are looking for a Head of Supplier Relationship Management on a Fixed Term Contract to design and implement a formal Supplier Relationship Management Programme (SRM) as part of a new Target Operating Model for the Strategic Sourcing team. The role will form part of the Strategic Sourcing leadership team and report into the Strategic Sourcing Director.
We're looking for someone to bring best practice in SRM and apply it to Nest's supply chain, working closely with the wider business to assess current supplier relationships and identify opportunities for better collaboration, driving value and providing better outcomes for Nest members. The role will also have input into how Nest manages Third party risk and builds capability in its contract management team.
The minimum criteria for this role are:
- Experience in implementation of Supplier Relationship Management programmes across commercially developing organisations.
- Experience in navigating difficult supplier relationships and mediating/negotiating mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
- Experience with business process outsourcing (BPO).
- Government Procurement regulation knowledge.
- Third Party Risk Management experience.
- Complex Commercial Contract Experience including “open book” contracting.
- A mix of financial services/public sector experience (Desired).
- Experience in coaching others and leading a team.
- Experience influencing colleagues & suppliers to embrace changes in approach.
- Has a strong understanding of best practice in the industry and experience implementing and evolving processes to meet best practice.

The Finance Directorate, led by the Chief Financial Officer and their leadership team, is made up of two distinct teams: Finance and Strategic Sourcing. This role would be responsible for overseeing a key new activity within the Strategic Sourcing Team. It is an exciting time to join the function as the Director of Strategic Sourcing is looking to make a significant amount of change and enhancement in each of the areas but also looking for synergies and alignment across the Directorate.
