In this role, you'll help shape and establish a brand-new Business Management function within Nest's Services and Solutions (SaS) directorate. Working at the heart of a newly formed team, you'll play a key role in helping the directorate plan, prioritise, report and operate effectively, providing the insight, coordination and structure that enables senior leaders to make informed decisions and deliver.
Day-to-day, you'll support coordinating business planning, budgeting, resource management, performance reporting, governance activities and communications, ensuring the leadership team has timely and accurate insights to support decision making and that SaS operates smoothly and consistently. You'll build strong relationships across SaS and the wider organisation, bringing together information, tracking progress and helping to turn strategic priorities into practical outcomes. Unlike many business management roles, this is not about maintaining established processes. You'll have the opportunity to help design and embed new ways of working, influence how the function develops and contribute to building a strong "one team" culture across SaS. As the function develops, you'll gain the opportunity to broaden your skills and develop towards deputising for the Business Manager in selected forums and activities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with ambiguity, and thrives on solving problems, creating order, building relationships and making things happen. If you're naturally proactive, curious and motivated by the opportunity to help build something new, this is a chance to have a real impact from day one.
The minimum criteria for this role are:
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong communication skills, able to work with a range of stakeholders and confident to contribute views and influence senior stakeholders (SaS Leadership level)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive and reliable, with a pragmatic ‘gets it done’ mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality and accurate outputs and delivering to deadlines
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach, able to build a network of relationships to support delivery
Don't worry if you think you don't have all the key skills, it might be worth taking the few minutes to apply as we're good at spotting potential. At Nest, you’ll have access to a range of learning opportunities to learn, grow and build the skills you need to be successful in your role and career.

Directorate/Department Overview: Services and Solutions (SaS) is a newly formed directorate that brings together Nest's operational delivery, technology, data and change capabilities to deliver reliable, member focused services at scale.
