We’re looking for a videographer/content creator to support a new national Community Programme for families navigating EBSA and children’s mental health challenges. Help us create warm, authentic social media, training, parent story content and training resources.
This role will play an important part in helping us build a new national Nessie Community Programme supporting families navigating emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA) and children’s mental health challenges. We are developing a supportive, community‑led programme designed to help parents feel less isolated and more empowered through accessible training, peer support and shared lived experience.
Video and digital content will be central to helping us create a warm, welcoming and emotionally safe experience for families engaging with the programme online. The volunteer’s contribution will help us create high‑quality social media content, training videos, parent stories and content that brings the programme to life in an authentic and engaging way. Their support will directly help us reach more families, increase awareness of EBSA and mental health challenges, and encourage parents to access support earlier.
Many of the parents we hope to reach are experiencing significant stress, isolation and emotional overwhelm. Creating calm, accessible and relatable content can make a huge difference in helping families feel understood, connected and supported. Through storytelling and thoughtful content creation, this role will help parents see that they are not alone and that support is available.
The role will also help us strengthen the quality and professionalism of the programme as we prepare for national launch. By supporting the filming and editing of training materials and digital learning resources, the volunteer will help us create a more engaging and accessible learning experience for parents and ambassadors across the UK.
In addition, the volunteer’s work will support the growth and sustainability of the programme by helping us develop content for awareness campaigns, recruitment and community engagement. This will contribute to building a stronger network of parent ambassadors and increasing the programme’s reach and long‑term impact.

What are we looking for?

Many of the families engaging with this programme are experiencing stress, isolation and overwhelm, so it is important that the volunteer understands how to create content that feels calm, supportive and accessible.
We are particularly interested in someone who values authenticity and can help people feel comfortable and confident when being filmed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also important for this role. The volunteer may be filming parents, trainers and staff members, so we are looking for someone who is approachable, patient and able to build trust with a wide range of people. An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and respectful storytelling would also be valuable.
We would welcome volunteers from a range of backgrounds including videography, content creation, filmmaking, social media, digital marketing or media production.
